Volunteers invited for advancing robotics globally



CLAWAR is a UK registered charity since 2012 with the mission for the advancement of robotics for the public benefit (see https://clawar.org/). We have been working with researchers, companies and international robot regulation organisations to address bottlenecks to assist the development of robots and robot systems to meet the needs of

society globally.  Our main activities have been the following:



1. International CLAWAR annual conference series on latest technology research and development. CLAWAR’2024 is the 28 th issue in the series and is planned to be held in Germany in September 2024 (https://clawar.org/clawar24/).

2. International annual conference series on Robot ethics and Standards. ICRES 2024 is the 9 th issue in the series and is planned to be held in Japan in July 2024

(https://clawar.org/icres24/).  These series of conferences are aimed at assisting in the development of ethically acceptable robot systems which are accessible by all.

3. ISO/IEC robot regulation for formulating international standards for robot safety, robot performance and inter-operability for medical and non-medical robot sectors. The main focus currently is contributing to standardisation projects in ISO TC299 (Robotics), IEC TC62 (Medical equipment, software and systems), ISO TC199 (Safety of Machinery).



We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about robotics and wish to contribute to the efforts for development of robotics for all globally.  Applications are invited from individuals who wish to join our team. There are no pre-requisites for applicants as robotics are being developed for virtually all sectors of society and we will be planning our activities to meet the emerging challenges and how they should be overcome in different countries and

globally.
