Dear colleague,

As you know, Barcelona Robot Urban Lab (BRL) is part of the TERRINet European Infrastructures Network.

The first TERRINet CALL is now open (until March 31, 2019) and offers FREE ACCESS - Travel, Accommodation and Technological Support - to AI and robotic students, researchers, academics and entrepreneurs, for doing outdoor/indoor experiments in mobile robotics and human-robot interaction and collaboration.

An outdoor pedestrian area of 10.000sqm is provided with fixed cameras, wifi, 3G/4G and partial GPS coverage, with presence of buildings and public space scenarios to perform multiple applications as for example, vision surveillance, people tracking, person guiding, human-robot walking side-by-side, people searching, robot good distribution or communication between deployed robots and devices. Other indoor facilities are also provided as an Optitrack area and several robots can be used for doing the experiments.

Simulation software is offered where any experiment can be validated in a virtual BRL environment before doing real-life experiments, including the robot models, perception systems, navigation and planning modules, learning software, etc. All the software runs in ROS (Robotic Operation System).

The BRL also offers you the opportunity to check the feedback of end users and participants for doing social issues.
